Identify and engage the best suppliers in China for various goods and products as per the requirements from Kuwait teams. Continuously search for new products and suppliers in accordance with product development and project plans.
Leverage in-depth knowledge of different industries' technologies, techniques, and supplier networks in China.
Supply Chain and Cost Management
Optimize supply chain processes to ensure on time delivery of goods, meeting project timelines. Implement cost-improvement and cost-saving programs. Analyze cost structures, negotiate best terms with suppliers, and manage logistics coordination for efficient shipment.
Product Evaluation and Customization
Lead the product evaluation and customization process. Conduct specification checks and technical verifications. Oversee vendor contract and terms negotiation, ensuring high quality and timely execution according to project demands.
Stakeholder Communication and Coordination
Act as a bridge between the Head office teams and suppliers. Communicate details clearly, update progress and results systematically. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in the China office, such as QA/QC and Finance, to achieve excellent results in key performance areas like cost-saving and on-time delivery.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, mechanical/electrical engineering or related disciplines.
With more than 10 years of experience as a sourcing manager role in machinery, construction components, electronic components and materials, such as Floor Heating, Plastic pipes, Doors and windows etc.
Candidate with oversea working experience is a plus.
Demonstrate extensive experience in sourcing, supplier development, cost control, and procurement process optimization.
Technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and construction components will be advantage.
Good in multi-tasking, problem-solving and possess superior interpersonal communication skills.
Aggressive, independent, logical-thinking and quick learner.
Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP modules) and data analysis tools.
Excellent negotiation, leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Can work under pressure.
Willingness to travel frequently.
