Basic Resources is on the hunt for a Sourcing & Production Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our product development, sourcing and production strategies, driving excellence and ensuring our products not only meet but exceed the brand’s high standards. You will be a key player in liaising with our agents and vendors, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

• Create and share Time & Action Calendar with vendors.
• Ensure tech packs, protos, and lab dips are approved prior to requesting delivery confirmation from vendors.
• Sends order breakdowns to vendors to confirm requested ex-factory dates are achievable.
• Sends order revisions to vendors to re-request achievable ex-factory dates.
• Requests estimated carton dimensions and weight per style number. Provides this information along with fiber content to imports team for carton and commodity code set up.
• Provides delivery details to sales/planning teams and requests for official PREQ to be submitted.
• Set up costing and create purchase order and send to vendors.
• Input fiber content per approved test report.
• Revise delivery dates based on sales/planning needs or vendor delays.
• Delete item lines on POs once customer POs are available. Readd PREQ lines to POs so customer POs are visible on the PO. Resend to vendors.
• Adopt VAS cost on to PO and send to vendor.
• Maintain all overages/shortages via SAP and communicate any quantities +/- the tolerance to our cross-functional teams.
• Work with the Marketing Team via Airtable to ensure digital and physical trim submits are approved per the Time & Action Calendar
• Creates sample request in PLM for vendors to upload PP sample images for design and color teams to review.
• Pre-Production Samples
• Requests sample tracking information from vendors. Adds sample tracking details to Production Sample Log in Airtable.
• Sorts PP samples for production and passes one set for design and PD to review.
• Measures, weighs, and fits samples on NAHM to ensure tech pack standards are met.
• Compiles comments from design, PD, and production and sends to vendors.
• Requests TOP sample tracking information from vendors. Adds sample tracking details to Production Sample Log in Airtable.
• Evaluates TOP samples for packaging and overall aesthetics. If samples are not acceptable, escalate to Manager/Sr Manager for guidance on next steps.
• Sorts TOP samples for production and passes sets to sales team.
• Track and update purchase orders via Excel weekly to ensure production milestones are met as per the time & action calendar.
• Create report of orders issued within week timeframe.
• Input style information for orders placed into Testing Tracker. Add in specialty yarns, treatments, and region styles are shipping to. Work closely with the Compliance team ensuring necessary testing, certifications, and reports are completed prior to shipping.
• Update all purchase orders containing cotton to assist the Quality and Compliance team.
• Work closely with the Imports and Sales/ Planning Team on vessel bookings/ schedules that fall outside of the original planned delivery.
• Inform vendors of payment details for invoices submitted for goods shipped.
• Track and update purchase orders via Excel weekly to ensure production milestones are met as per the time & action calendar.
• Create report of orders issued within a week timeframe.
• Attend weekly meetings with team. Provide information on open orders and highlight any challenges with orders, vendors, or cross-functional teams.
• Attend weekly meetings to understand status of new and existing orders and needs of each team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2-3 years experience in Production
• Strong communication skills needed
• Solution-oriented with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Excellent prioritization and time management skills
• PLM & SAP preferred
• Must be in 2-3 days a week on-site

Annual salary starting $70,000.
