Summary

  • Collaborate with sales team to understand client requirements and technical challenges they may be facing within their environment
  • Utilize prior work experiences and cybersecurity expertise to support scoping calls, validate client responses, and identify technical requirements across diverse network environments
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase our solutions’ capabilities and benefits both virtually as well as onsite (as needed)
  • Develop comprehensive solution offerings that address client needs while aligning with Fortified’s offerings
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering guidance and best practices in healthcare cybersecurity
  • Lead proof of value (POV) deployments for managed service offerings (e.g., SIEM, MDR, XDR, and IoMT)
  • Review Risk Assessment findings to offer guidance towards remediating gaps identified throughout the assessment process
  • Support sales through scoping discussions as an input for pricing
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to healthcare cybersecurity

Knowledge & Skills

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience within an Operations, Pre-Sales Engineer, or similar role capacity operating in the cybersecurity and healthcare IT industry
  • Candidate must be able to display the ability to interact with clients/prospects at the executive-level and below
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience working with or for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) in healthcare settings is a plus


Special Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and technologies relevant to healthcare environments (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST)
  • Hand-on experience deploying/architecting/managing security tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanners, EDR and endpoint, IoMT/OT & related technologies
  • Familiarity with virtualization technology (ie deploying virtual machines)
  • Strong understanding of networking, cloud technologies, and IT security protocols
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate technical concepts and value to diverse audiences
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, etc.)
  • Understanding of Salesforce and automation platforms
  • Experience in technical evaluations and procurement
  • Self-driven, taking initiative in challenging situations
  • Familiar with SOC operations and toolsets
  • Passion for cybersecurity

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Hybrid model with an approximate combination of office and remote work in Brentwood, TN
  • Expected Travel – 25%
