Job SummaryWe are seeking skilled Electrical Engineers to join our team, providing technical expertise, product support, and engineering solutions for our customers. The Solution Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the compatibility and performance of various electrical components, assisting clients with product selection, and contributing to the development of customized solutions for power distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support:Provide expert technical advice to customers and sales teams regarding the selection, application, and installation of electrical substation components, such as Poles, Conductors, Cables, Circuit breakers, insulators, Earthing Components and switchgears.
- Product Compatibility: Analyze customer requirements and ensure compatibility of Various substation parts with existing systems, including voltage ratings, current capacities, and environmental conditions.
- Custom Solutions: Collaborate with clients to design and recommend customized solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including product specifications, installation guides, and schematic diagrams, to support customer projects.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for sales staff and customers on product features, technical specifications, and best practices.
- Quality Assurance: Work with suppliers and quality control teams to verify that products meet required standards and specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Assist customers in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to substation equipment performance or integration.
- Inventory Support: Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure the availability of critical parts and recommend new products based on market trends and customer needs.
- Industry Updates: Stay informed about advancements in substation technology, industry regulations, and emerging trends to provide cutting-edge recommendations.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mech. Engineering or a Diploma Electrical/Mech.
- Experience: 1-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in power distribution, substation design, or equipment sales.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical substation components, including circuit breakers, relays, and busbars.
- Working Knowledge in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for creating or reviewing schematics.
- Understanding of industry standards like ISI and safety regulations.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with clients.
Work Environment- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer sites or supplier facilities.
- May require on-site visits to substations for inspections or troubleshooting.
- Standard working hours with occasional overtime during project deadlines or customer emergencies.
