Job Summary

The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for implementing Public cloud services based on AWS and Azure technologies, and other major Cloud technologies. Assignments includes consulting, implementing, documenting, and migrating applications to the public cloud. The Senior Cloud Engineer will also be required to lead other Cloud delivery engineers.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Implements public cloud services based on AWS, Azure and other major cloud Technologies
• Works with customers and Cloud Solutions architects in planning and designing highly successful Cloud environments
• Works with customers to align technology to their business opportunities and needs in context of their Cloud strategy
• Assists in delivering consulting engagements, working with distributed sales teams along with deployment team members
• Demonstrates command of Cloud technologies and other ecosystem solutions
• Masters a deep technical knowledge and possesses the communication skills and organizational agility to guide customers through Cloud migration projects, and must also be able to perform the hands-on technical solution design work independently
• Utilizes knowledge of architectural design and documentation
• Stays current with Cloud technologies
• Demonstrates customer facing and presentation skills
• Documents business, information, application and technology aspects of approach
• Leads complex large projects
• Supports customer escalations as needed
• Partners with end customers to ensure a successful project implementation
• Provides technical training to the customers as needed
• Mentors and develops junior engineering staff members
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• BS/BAs degree in IT or related field (Industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• 5-10 years of documented corporate Cloud experience
• Deep knowledge of Cloud Architectures
• Candidate must also have excellent communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Additionally the candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at once
• Solid Experience in AWS/Azure cloud technologies
• Experience in applications modernizations (DevOps, containers, MicroServices) is a plus
• Strong presentation, oral and written communication skills are essential
