On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Solutions Architect to
Support the development of digital health solutions, including user-facing portals for accessing personal health information. Responsibilities include managing user stories, ensuring high-quality releases, handling incidents, and coordinating between stakeholders to deliver effective, user-centered features.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing architecture blueprints and frameworks to support business and application requirements.
• Support project and operational teams with solution strategy and design to ensure alignment with architectural goals, principles, and standards.
• Contribute to the creation of solution requirements, standards, and guiding principles.
• Review and provide feedback on architecture deliverables and contribute content as needed.
• Participate in governance checkpoints to assess initiative readiness.
• Maintain regular communication with enterprise architecture representatives.
• Ensure solutions align with organizational architecture standards.
• Support the development of RFPs for technology solutions.
• Assist with planning and implementing solutions aligned with digital transformation goals.
• Collaborate regularly with internal teams for guidance and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by enterprise architecture leadership.
Deliverables:
• Technical Requirements
o Technical requirements include functional and non-functional requirements needed to support Department of Health initiatives and solutions.
• Technical/Solution Architecture
o Technical/Solution Architecture for Department of Health initiatives and solutions. The Architecture should include the proposed layout of the various environments (Dev, ST, AT, Prod), components, integration, network communications.
• Technical/Solution Standards
o Technical/Solution Standards are required for the construction or acquisition of components and infrastructure. These include standards for communication, integration, desktop and networking standards for Department of Health initiatives and solutions.
• Technical/Solution Guiding Principals
o Technical/Solution guiding principles for Department of Health Enterprise Architecture.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
o An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 15 years of experience in Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT).
• Solution Architecture Experience:
o At least 10 years of demonstrated experience as a lead Solution Architect on medium to large system development or COTS implementation projects within the last 15 years.
• Qualifying projects must:
o Cross multiple business units and/or organizations.
o Involve more than 8 direct project participants.
o Operate for over 9 months.
o Address both business transformation and technical issues.
o Note: Experience in the Health Insurance sector is not considered qualifying.
