GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for designing and implementing automated test cases for a software application, collaborating on testing priorities, executing tests, reporting defects, keeping current with testing technologies, reviewing code, ensuring software meets requirements, and mentoring junior testers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality of software products
Collaborate with software engineers and other stakeholders to define and prioritize testing efforts
Write clear and concise test plans and test cases
Execute automated and manual tests and report on test results
Reproduce and report software defects and work with software engineers to ensure their resolution
Stay up-to-date with emerging testing technologies and methodologies
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to software engineers on testability and quality
Ensure that software products meet customer requirements and are delivered on schedule.
Mentor and guide junior test engineers in best practices
Maintain compliance with the knowledge requirements outlined on the department intranet site
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related position
Programming language(s) such as JavaScript, Java, C#, etc.
Advanced level knowledge of software testing methodologies and techniques
Advanced level experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
Expert level problem-solving skills
Advanced level ability to write clear and concise test plans and test cases
Intermediate level communication and interpersonal skills
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Intermediate level ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Applicable Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
