The candidate will join our Technology Department in Alpharetta, GA. This will be a hybrid position – 4 days/week onsite and 1 days/week working from home. The position will report to the Team Lead for UC Development.



Your Part In This Growth Story:

Stonebranch is searching for a QA Engineer who’s interested in playing in the explosive IT hybrid automation market. Your role enables our software development engineers to ship features with efficiency and confidence while providing the best end-to-end user experience across all platforms. You will accelerate engineering productivity through gray-box testing, tooling, and robust automation frameworks; provide flexible, innovative technologies and services to verify correct system behavior during testing; and validating system requirements during design.



What You Will Be Doing:

  • Contribute to all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Generate technical specifications to create or redesign software components.
  • Configure and maintain software and scripts needed to support development activities, including builds and unit testing.
  • Create and maintain documentation to capture software design and implementation, internal processes, and operations.
  • Create and maintain user-facing documentation to capture and explain application features, configuration options, and behavior.
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.



What You Will Bring To The Team:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject OR working toward a degree in those fields.
  • We are prioritizing only those applicants local to Metro Atlanta, preferably, who have 6 months or less until graduation and are seeking a long term opportunity.
  • Solid programming discipline: unit testing, data structures, complexity analysis, object-oriented principles, design patterns, etc.
  • Experience with Python is a must.
  • Experience creating and managing incoming and outgoing TCP/IP connections for cross-component messaging.
  • Experience using project management tools such as VersionOne, Jira, or Redmine.
  • Experience with Git or Subversion.
  • Experience developing Python applications on Windows, Linux, and/or Unix (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX) is a plus.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • Experience with GoogleTest or other UTest-based unit test framework for Python
