SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Hurray is making seriously unserious brands. Launched in Los Angeles in September 2024, we take an outrageous approach to beverages. Our first-born is Hurray’s Girl Beer, the beer to out-girl all beers - flipping the pre-existing cultures of the beer category through diabolical anti-branding. We launched the line in Southern California with major chain retailers and are growing our team and footprint quickly across the west coast. We have a lot of stuff going on, and we’re gearing up for this next phase of the business, so please dear god, help us tell the good people of the United States of America about our girl beers.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Do you like beer? Do you spend hours a day trolling accounts? Is your FYP mildly concerning? Does tomfoolery permeate in all aspects of your life? Would you describe yourself as "👹"?

Then we’re surprised you've made it out of your doom scroll spiral to find us, but glad you did!! We're looking for a social media manager to ideate and manage socials, content across our digital and physical marketing channels. This role will oversee things like social content ideation and execution, partnership, seeding, and larger campaigns. We're looking for someone who’s a strong copywriter (you seriously need to know how to write), understands the internet, is diabolically / scathingly funny, and can manage creative output from concept to execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social & content:

Own and execute all social media management deliverables from start to finish, including calendar, content, and community management.

  • Conceptualize static, video, and trend-driven content that speaks with our brand voice (with help from a broader creative team and external partners).
  • Create, shoot, and edit content for social channels in collaboration with other members of the creative team.
  • Set up and execute weekly social media posting calendars.
  • Maintain social accounts with visual cohesion in-line with brand guidelines
  • Produce content shoots and source reliable partners and vendors as needed.
  • Manage community on social channels via comments, DMs, trolling, and beyond.
  • Monitor trends in relevant niches, identifying reactive and timely content ideas that make sense for the client and align with established social strategy.

Campaign Operations:

Collaborate with a broader team, conceptualize, plan, and execute and produce the creative strategy of in-person brand activations, stunts, and events that are brand-aligned

  • Report to Creative Director and Director of Marketing to assist in the implementation of creative and social strategies.
  • Attend in-person events as needed to lead the social side of event activation and capture content as needed.

Monitoring & Analysis:

Maintain platform best practices and suggest content optimizations to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Analyze social listening data, reporting on findings, learnings, and opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or maybe not, honestly).
  • 3+ years of experience in a related role
  • Ability to travel to Los Angeles (hybrid role; 3 days per week in-office)
  • Able to start as soon as possible.
  • A natural tone of voice for the brand (diabolical and like actually funny. You will be asked for your best joke in the interview. Be prepared)
  • Expert-level understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube
  • You’ve actually executed socials, not just “strategized”
  • Excellent copy skills (you can apply writing across digital channels like TikTok, Instagram, and beyond, but again, you’re unfiltered and unhinged. Seriously. We’d prefer you to not really GAF, strategically)
  • Previous management experience is a plus (this role will eventually build out a social team).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and CapCut is helpful.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach (lol ChatGPT came up with this one but probably true)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams (but ok if you’re weird)
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to attend evening and weekend events for the brand.
  • Not named Connor (preferred)

Sorry for our inconsistent use of periods. You clearly could help us with that.
