PE Global Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Site Engineers for major infrastructure and residential projects commencing across Cork City. Our client is one of Ireland’s most reputable Tier 1 contractors, with a strong pipeline of work including:

• High-Rise Residential Developments in Cork City
• Major Road Upgrade Projects throughout Cork
• Strategic Rail Infrastructure Works

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and professional team working on some of the most prominent civil and construction projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set out works on-site and provide clear instruction to foremen and operatives.
• Interpret and disseminate technical drawings, specifications, and other information.
• Conduct material testing in accordance with project specifications.
• Perform quality checks on rebar installation and concrete placement.
• Review technical submissions and ensure all relevant project areas are addressed.
• Oversee concrete testing and evaluate results.
• Provide guidance to subcontractors when required.
• Prepare technical method statements and ensure best practice implementation.
• Manage traffic coordination on busy construction sites.
• Maintain accurate daily site diaries and records.
• Participate actively in professional development and internal training programmes.
• Promote and uphold a safe working environment at all times.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships across all project teams.
• Monitor and calibrate surveying and testing equipment.
• Contribute to project efficiency through accurate work and minimising rework.
• Attend project meetings and follow management directives.

Requirements:

• A third-level qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related discipline).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Site Engineering role.
• Strong background in setting out and working on-site with contractors.
• Experience in traffic management for busy, urban construction sites is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
