Position Overview

The Set-Up Technician for Plastic Injection Molding is responsible for preparing and configuring injection molding machines for production runs, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance, playing a critical part in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up injection molding machines for production runs.
  • Perform equipment calibration and adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on molding equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Assist in mold setup and startup processes, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and operating plastic injection molding machines.
  • Strong background in machine maintenance and equipment calibration.
  • Able to work 12 hr shift on 2/2/3 rotation.
  • Familiarity with production efficiency practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP and GDP standards related to manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with mold setup and startup is highly desirable.
  • Fork truck certification and Lock out Tag out Certification are a plus.
  • Understanding of Cleanroom Protocols is an advantage.
