Be a part of the TimeTailor team as a Backend Developer! This full-time hybrid position emphasizes backend system development, API integration, and advanced software engineering. Located in the Bucharest Metropolitan Area with flexible remote work options, you'll work closely with our developers to refine and expand our salon management software.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable APIs and backend services for our SaaS platform.
• Optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement scalable and secure solutions.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancing existing backend systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Implementing secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
• Ensuring backend components are well-documented through automated tools (e.g., Swagger) and maintaining additional technical documentation as needed.
• Staying updated with backend technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in NestJS or Node.js, with a strong understanding of backend development principles.
• Experience working with relational databases, especially MySQL (PostgreSQL or similar is a plus).
• Expertise in RESTful API design and integration with third-party services.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, SQS, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Strong understanding of security best practices for backend development.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Redis is advantageous.
• Analytical mind with strong problem solving aptitudes.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
• Fluent in English.

• Experience with the following is a plus:
• Knowledge of frontend development (e.g., Angular or React).
• Experience with event-based data collection tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
