Job Overview:
We’re seeking a Systems/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a deep focus on infrastructure coding and automation. You will support a wide range of services spanning Linux, Windows, cloud, and containerized environments. The ideal candidate is hands-on with infrastructure as code, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can write clean, scalable infrastructure code.
Must-Haves:
- Experience writing infrastructure code from scratch (Terraform highly preferred)
- Proficiency in Python (primary scripting language)
- Strong Linux and Windows systems experience
- 3+ years of SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering experience (fewer years accepted for fast learners)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Cloud platform expertise, preferably AWS
- Familiarity with GitLab for version control (Jenkins not used)
- Understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Availability to work strictly Pacific Time hours for at least the first 6 months
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage infrastructure using Terraform, Python, and scripting tools (e.g., Bash)
- Support and automate infrastructure across Linux and Windows
- Maintain and deploy systems in a cloud-native environment (preferably AWS)
- Enhance and monitor Kubernetes workloads and container-based applications
- Use GitLab CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and review
- Apply basic IAM knowledge to manage access and security policies
- Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability metrics
- Collaborate across teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business and engineering goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with media or gaming pipelines, GPU rendering environments
- Familiarity with Resilio or other media file transport tools (Signiant, Aspera)
- Exposure to high-performance storage (Quantum, Avid, Isilon)
- Understanding of post-production applications (Resolve, Avid, Transcoder)
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration in production-oriented environments
