Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Reliability & DevOps Engineer at our Los Angeles, CA HQ. You’ll own the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our entire production footprint—from microservices to monitoring dashboards.


Qualifications

  • Design, build, and maintain Dockerized services on AWS ECS (Fargate/EC2)
  • Define and manage infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Build and own CircleCI pipelines for backend (Flask) and infrastructure changes
  • Deploy and coordinate front-end/static assets on Vercel with zero-downtime rollouts
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and runbooks; lead on-call and incident response
  • Instrument PostHog for product analytics and centralize logs (CloudWatch/ELK)
  • Profile and optimize Python/Flask services for latency, throughput, and cost
  • Configure autoscaling, resource allocation, and container settings to control spend
  • Enforce security best practices: IAM policies, VPC design, secret management
  • Collaborate across engineering and product teams to embed SRE/DevOps principles


Responsibilities

  • 4+ years in SRE/DevOps or similar roles at high-growth tech companies.
  • Hands-on with AWS ECS (Fargate or EC2 launch types).
  • Deep experience containerizing applications with Docker.
  • Strong Python skills—especially building and operating Flask services.
  • Proven CircleCI expertise (pipelines, caching, parallelism).
  • Familiarity deploying static/front-end applications on Vercel.
  • Experience with PostHog (or comparable product-analytics platforms) and centralized logging.
  • Solid Linux administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills across distributed, microservice-based systems.
