What you'll do:
We are looking for an Architect level Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on Product costing. As part of the IT Applications organization, you will support all the aspects of SAP FI/CO modules and other peripheral application activities. You will be a Subject Matter Expert for all Costing related activities, supporting the business users.
* Lead and manage all aspects of Product costing projects from discovery to deployment and support.
* Analyze complex business problems / processes and translate business requirements into workable application solutions.
* Partner with and provide guidance to business teams, and act as the translator between Finance/costing and IT teams to ensure business requirements are communicated properly.
* Conduct root cause analysis, recommend process improvements, redesign and automation.
* Collaborate with cross functional teams to facilitate project progress and ensure integrated solution design and implementation.
* Develop project related documentation for GAP analysis, functional design documents, functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
* Develop and execute functional end to end test scripts and perform unit testing, integration and regression testing, including build test cases, executing tests, and making changes to configuration and or processes as needed.
* Train the end user community in the conversion and implementation of new processes.
* Collaborate with Application Managed Services provider support team to quickly resolve critical operational issues that impact business functions.
Job responsibilities:
* Oversee and execute all aspects of cost accounting including cost updates, cost variance calculation costing reports, month-end close process etc
* Review Bill of materials (BOM) and production routing data for cost accuracy and month-end reporting.
* Conduct thorough analysis of manufacturing costs to support product costing and reconcile manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, and record adjustments for work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and inventory accounts
* Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, provide detailed explanations along with supporting documentation for management and audit purposes
* Prepare and review month-end journal entries related to production costs, inventory valuations, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure month-end financial statements reflect accurate manufacturing cost data
* Support internal audits by preparing detailed month-end close reconciliations and cost-related schedules.
* Track key cost metrics (e.g., material usage, labor efficiency) to inform future close cycles and financial planning
What you need:
* Extensive experience designing and configuring SAP ERP Finance and Controlling solutions, ideally with S4HANA.
* Should be part of 3+ SAP implementations in the Record to Report from Blueprint to Go-Live
* At least 10+ years of experience in SAP systems
* CPA or Cost Accountant or B.S. in Finance
* Ability to be detailed in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Qualifications:
* Aerospace industry experience.
* Inhouse Manufacturing and Contract Manufacturing experience
* After Market service experience related to A&D or Heavy industry machinery

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
