About the Role
Watlow is looking for a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager to drive sales growth with a top-tier semiconductor capital equipment OEM and expand into new business opportunities. This role requires a strong technical and commercial understanding of the semiconductor capital market, with existing industry relationships being highly desirable.
The ideal candidate will be based out of Phoenix, AZ and have the ability to be onsite with one of our largest semiconductor clients on a regular basis.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Establish, nurture, and strengthen professional relationships with key stakeholders at target accounts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and develop a strategic roadmap to drive growth in key segments.
* Cultivate relationships with high-value clients to enhance brand recognition and position the company as a trusted and innovative industry leader.
* Develop and execute targeted sales strategies with clear timelines to achieve both short-term revenue goals and long-term business expansion.
* Drive profitable growth by managing projects effectively and collaborating with senior leadership, including Directors, VPs, and GMs, to align with overall business strategy.
* Create compelling sales and marketing proposals, strategic plans, and high-impact presentations to engage customers and secure business opportunities.
* Expand market share by increasing sales with existing customers while successfully acquiring new business to meet growth objectives.
* Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, demonstrating a results-driven approach.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and customer interactions within the company's CRM system.
* Conduct proactive outreach, including outbound prospecting, networking, and attending industry trade shows, to build a strong sales pipeline and drive new business.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field required
* 5-7+ years of progressive experience in the semiconductor industry, with a strong combination of technical expertise (such as experience in a fabrication facility or process engineering at a top-tier OEM) and proven sales success in the semiconductor capital equipment sector
* Ability to travel up to 25-50% including international trips to Europe and Asia
Desired Qualifications
* Advanced degree in Engineering or MBA preferred
* Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
* Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing deals
* Strong negotiation skills with a focus on profitable contracts and long-term customer relationships
* Ability to build trust, drive customer engagement, and retain key accounts
* Strong market analysis skills to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
