The Vacancy Title: Senior Relay Software Development Engineer AVO Multi-Amp Corporation dba Megger seeks Senior Relay Software Development Engineer. Duties: Provide input on new product specifications, product strategies, product marketing, development, and application needs. Coordinate new product development with firmware, software, and hardware departments. Contribute to the RTMS software release process to ensure the software is correctly introduced to production. Test all relay test equipment components comprising hardware and firmware along with RTMS to ensure software, firmware, and hardware releases are bug-free. Provide support and training to customers and application engineers by giving presentations and testing solutions. Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving customer relationships. Continuously identify and improve applications in the RTMS software. Understand, create, and simplify the RTMS software for the user. Prepare white papers, application notes, and technical articles to reinforce Megger as a subject matter expert in relay protection. Present on different theoretical topics and case studies at conferences and technical meetings. Mentor Relay Protection Engineers and guide them in developing relay test plan modules in RTMS to test protection relay functionality and perform maintenance of existing relay test plans in the RTMS Template Manager. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; 3 years in testing electromechanical and microprocessor-based protection relays; in utility substation design, maintenance, protection, and control; and in VB scripting and programming. 20% US/International travel required.
