What You’ll Do
- Build & Scale a Best-in-Class TA Function: Support the development and optimization of a growing talent acquisition infrastructure, creating scalable processes that align with the organizations rapid expansion across academic, clinical, technical and administrative roles.
- Strategic Partnership & Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders across the enterprise. Translate complex hiring needs into effective recruiting strategies and offer insights that shape hiring decisions and workforce planning.
- Hands-On Recruitment Execution:
- Source, screen, and engage highly qualified candidates in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Manage a robust requisition load with a hands-on, can-do attitude and a commitment to white-glove candidate and hiring manager experiences.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Leverage recruitment data and metrics to evaluate process performance, inform sourcing strategies, and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement creative sourcing techniques, branding strategies, and outreach efforts to attract top talent—especially in hard-to-fill, healthcare-specific roles.
- Technology & Process Optimization:
- Actively participate in improving our applicant tracking system (ATS Workday) and adjacent tools to streamline recruiting workflows, automate tasks, and improve candidate engagement.
- Internal & External Talent Engagement:
- Represent Dell Med at job fairs, professional events, and community engagements. Contribute to our growing employer brand in alignment with our values of equity, innovation, and service.
- Mentorship & Leadership:
- Support the onboarding of new recruiters and foster a collaborative learning environment. Lead or contribute to special projects within the TA and HR function.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of Five (5) + years of full-cycle recruitment experience with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in hospitals, academic medical centers, or other healthcare-related settings.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume and/or complex recruitment portfolios in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in HR systems and tools, including ATS (preference for Workday experience), sourcing platforms, and analytics dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, autonomous environments and are energized by navigating ambiguity and building within evolving, high-growth cultures or start-up environments.
- Professional certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP).
- Demonstrated experience with brand marketing, sourcing strategy, or workforce development initiatives.
Salary Range
$76,000+ depending on qualifications

Employment Eligibility:
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
