We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a transformation project which will have a global impact. They are a Sydney-based business that requires the candidate to be in the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and oversee comprehensive end-to-end system tests.
• Investigate and address product quality issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Recommend solutions for identified product challenges.
• Work with the Product Development team to ensure seamless project execution.
• Highlight process inefficiencies in quality assurance and propose enhancements.
• Compile and analyze quality data to drive improvements.
• Lead initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.
• Report and present quality metrics and insights to senior management.

Requirements:

• 3–5 years working in Agile environments, particularly with Scrum teams.
• Extensive experience working with Java on API automation
• Strong proficiency having worked on projects with Kafka
• Skilled in automated testing for RESTful APIs using frameworks like Karate.
• Proficient with open-source UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Protractor, or Appium.
• Experienced with BDD tools like Cucumber and scripting languages, especially JavaScript.
• Competent in version control systems such as GIT.
• Excellent skills in test planning, execution, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience in manual and exploratory testing.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, and Zephyr from the Atlassian suite.
• Knowledge of performance and accessibility testing methods.
• Understanding of Agile practices, including TDD/ATDD, pair programming, CI, and automated deployments.

The day rate on offer is $700 - $750 PD + GST with interviews happening ASAP.
