QA Automation Engineer (5+ years of experience)

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Participate in the development of scalable test frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) and reusable automation components.
• Perform API testing using Postman, validating RESTful services and supporting test automation for backend layers.
• Conduct different levels of testing: unit, functional, integration, regression, stress, and volume testing.
• Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test data using tools like TestLink.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing execution in Jenkins and GitLab environments.
• Utilize version control systems such as GIT, GitLab, and SVN for code and test artifact management.
• Use SQL and PL/SQL for database validations and backend testing, with familiarity in Oracle environments.
• Perform defect tracking and lifecycle management using JIRA, Mantis, or equivalent tools.
• Debug failed test executions using debugging tools and analysis of logs to isolate and report defects.
• Understand and manage different QA environments for executing automated and manual test cycles.
• Collaborate in Agile, Traditional (Waterfall), and hybrid project methodologies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in Test Automation using Selenium, Java, and scripting frameworks.
• Knowledge of UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for desktop and legacy application testing.
• Skilled in API testing and automation using Postman and REST principles.
• Experience with performance testing strategies and tools (basic).
• Hands-on experience with version control: GIT, GitLab, SVN.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and pipelines using Jenkins.
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., TestLink, JIRA, Mantis).
• Knowledge of debugging tools and ability to perform root cause analysis from application logs.
• Strong understanding of QA testing lifecycle and structured testing methodologies.

Additional Knowledge:

• Understanding of logistics processes (domain knowledge).
• Experience managing specific QA environments for controlled and repeatable test execution.
• Intermediate English reading proficiency (required for documentation and technical references).
