About the project

The project aims at unifying the various rating and pricing tools of our client. Your expertise will ensure the fast and robust handling of the large amounts of data used in those core insurance processes.

‍What You´ll Be Doing

• Designing and maintaining backend solutions
• Designing challenging computational flows
• Designing challenging data parsing and data modelling solutions
• Evaluating and implementing latest libraries for data management
• Collaborating with various multi-national development teams of the client
• Communicating with stakeholders on different levels of hierarchy and from diverse backgrounds, understanding the project’s environment and its obstacles
• Identifying solutions, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
• Working together with the PO, business analysts, and developers of Solveva to support the client and to meet the committed deadlines for several projects running in parallel

Your Skills and Your Experience

• Strong understanding of OOP and FP principles
• Familiarity with common design patterns
• Extensive experience with Python and its ecosystem
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and SQLAlchemy
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs with FastAPI (or Flask/Django)
• Strong knowledge of Git and other version control systems
• Experience with DevOps, mainly CI/CD, automation, containerization (Docker and Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• English proficiency: B2 level or equivalent
• Experience or at least knowledge of XP engineering practices and values like TDD, refactoring, continuous integration/deployment, pair programming, customer involvement, simplicity

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Apache Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming
• Experience using frameworks like SciPy, NumPy, Polars, PySpark
