Job details :

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from initiation through delivery. This includes defining project scope, establishing timelines, identifying risks, and managing progress to ensure alignment with project objectives. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, facilitation of meetings and reviews, and maintaining accurate project documentation. The Project Manager monitors ongoing activities, provides regular status updates, and ensures that deliverables meet quality standards, budget constraints, and deadlines.


Responsibilities:

Phase 1: Maternity Leave Coverage (Portfolio Management)

  • Lead and coordinate project execution across multiple portfolios in the temporary absence of two Portfolio Managers.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of all ongoing initiatives, managing interdependencies, risks, and timelines.
  • Act as the main liaison between cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Identify resource constraints, resolve operational inefficiencies, and drive proactive risk management.
  • Facilitate project governance and high-level reporting to executive leadership.
  • Ensure smooth handovers and documentation for portfolio continuity.


Phase 2: Permanent Senior Project Manager Role

  • Transition into a full-time Senior Project Manager position within our PDF Project Management team.
  • Continue to lead end-to-end execution of strategic projects with a focus on delivery excellence and cross-team coordination.
  • Contribute to portfolio capacity planning, team performance improvement, and process innovation.
  • Mentor junior project managers and help evolve internal best practices and standards.
  • Do day-to-day project planning for selected projects and teams within the BU
  • Lead complex, high-impact, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Define project scopes, goals, success criteria, and KPIs.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and executive reporting.
  • Drive resource planning, budgeting, and high-level risk management.
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate project managers.
  • Champion project management best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Anticipate organizational challenges and proactively recommend solutions.


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience on similar position
  • Project Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid
  • Tools: Jira, Asana, Trello, Confluence, Microsoft
  • Planning & Execution: Scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identification, mitigation, escalation
  • Communication: Clear reporting, stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation
  • Team Leadership: Coordination, delegation, conflict resolution, motivation
  • Organization: Time management, multitasking, prioritization
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinking, adaptability, decision-making
  • Continuous Improvement: Retrospectives, feedback loops, process optimization
