Summary

The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) is seeking an experienced and certified Senior Project Manager – Airside to oversee critical airfield infrastructure projects for a one-year contract. This full-time role may require 40 or more hours per week to meet project demands and deadlines. The successful candidate will bring expertise in airside operations, project management, and compliance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Project Oversight: Manage the design and construction of airfield infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with quality, budgetary, and timeline objectives. Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintaining safety and operational efficiency. Scheduling: Develop, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules, proactively identifying and addressing potential delays. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with IAA staff, consultants, and contractors to maintain project alignment and foster strong working relationships. Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges. Performance Monitoring: Oversee contractor activities, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to project specifications. Reporting: Prepare and present project updates to the IAA Planning and Development team, providing clear communication of milestones and deliverables. Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour Compensation Package: 1099 contract Application Question(s): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field / Required. Proven expertise in managing large-scale projects with multi-year capital improvement programs / Required. Proficiency in project management tools and scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet) Required. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for airfield operations and infrastructure / Required. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities / Required. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to address project risks effectively / Required. Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business Administration / Nice to Have. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies / Nice to Have. Familiarity with FAA regulations and standards for airfield operations / Nice to Have.
