Description
As a BESS Senior Project Developer, you will join the client's new projects team and be responsible for leading your U.S.-based BESS projects through all development phases with
a focus on early- to mid-stage phases. You will assess the viability of project concepts,
establish strategic land control, coordinate applications for interconnection, and facilitate
desktop environmental, permitting, and transmission reviews. You will be responsible for
delivering high-quality and profitable projects that meet all project milestones.

Assess project viability, establish land control, coordinate interconnection applications, and facilitate environmental, permitting, and transmission reviews.
Deliver high-quality and profitable projects meeting all milestones.
Build relationships with stakeholders externally and internally.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college program.
• 5+ years of BESS development and greenfielding experience with at least 1+ year
focusing on standalone storage
• Experience in commercial real estate development and contract
negotiations.
• Knowledge of the full-cycle of utility-scale power generation development and
marketing, with considerable experience in early- to mid-stage development.
• Extensive knowledge of interconnection process, permitting, real estate,
state/federal regulation, utility procurement goals, politics, law and other issues
that impact development of renewable energy projects in the U.S. energy markets.
• Strong understanding of U.S. power markets and transmission system.
• Ability to recognize development opportunities and identify and evaluate risks
related to renewable project development.
• Willing and available to travel as needed (25-40%).
The ideal candidate will sit in our Boulder, CO office on a hybrid schedule, however remote candidates are encouraged to apply and will be considered. Candidates willing to relocate to Boulder area are also encouraged to apply.
