Position Summary The Senior Manager for Outsourcing Excellence will support the design and implementation of business strategies to achieve organizational goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, standardize workflows, and streamline operations. The Senior Manager will assist in strategy development, support outsourcing excellence, and engage stakeholders to gain buy-in for initiatives. They will contribute to change management efforts, monitor program effectiveness, and collaborate on data-driven improvements. Additionally, they will help identify risks, provide training, maintain documentation, and introduce industry innovations to enhance the Global Development Organization. Key Responsibilities * Design and implement business strategies, set realistic goals, and create actionable plans to achieve organizational objectives. * Guide cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, enhance processes, and develop solutions to streamline operations. * Assist in the creation and execution of outsourcing excellence strategies and roadmaps, ensuring they align with organizational goals. * Develop standardized workflows and processes to improve alignment with both internal and external stakeholders. * Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gain support for excellence initiatives. * Lead change management efforts by encouraging the adoption of new processes and systems across Global Drug Development, ensuring smooth transitions and effective implementation. * Assess and monitor the effectiveness of development programs, working with stakeholders to improve the performance of strategic initiatives and innovation projects through data-driven insights. * Oversee system enhancements, software updates, and cross-functional collaboration to boost operational efficiency and align with organizational goals. * Identify potential risks and create mitigation strategies to ensure project success. * Train and guide teams on new processes and identify opportunities for improvement. * Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of reporting tools and systems. * Develop and implement communication strategies for outsourcing management, while overseeing the creation, updating, and distribution of accurate and accessible process documentation. * Maintain detailed documentation of process improvement activities, including project plans, process maps, and performance metrics. * Collaborate in designing, building, and enhancing Salesforce platform functionalities to address specific business requirements * In some cases, oversee a small book of studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, ethical practices, and BMS policies * Research and introduce relevant industry trends and innovations to the Outsourcing Management group, benefiting the broader Global Development Organization. Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field. * 3-5 years of industry experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or CROs, with a strong background in scientific, financial, and business problem-solving. * Exceptional project management and organizational skills. * Proven ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple priorities, and adapt to new initiatives and improvement efforts. * Extensive clinical trial operational experience. * Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate a highly matrixed and global organization. * Demonstrated success in building alliances, securing stakeholder support, and maintaining trust. * Ability to maintain high performance levels in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. * Proven decision-making skills, with the ability to evaluate information and balance competing project priorities. * High level of adaptability in managing ambiguous and complex work environments, while balancing multiple demands professionally and responsively.
