Summary

We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Linux System Engineer to join our UniQue Continuous Innovation and Emerging Technologies team, part of our ICT Services Technical Division.

For the Senior Linux System Engineer role we expect you to:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches  and hot fixes on Linux servers
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the Linux environment
  • Participate in the presales process in collaboration with the Solutions teams
  • Create documentation and revise the deliverables for projects
  • Create and modify scripts to perform tasks
  • Implement installation, configuration, maintenance and administration tasks of containerized platforms (Kubernetes or Docker or OpenShift)





Requirements

Your experience, skillset and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward.

    

  • A University/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge and 5+ years of proven hands-on experience of Linux operating systems (RHEL) or other RHEL based OS
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and other containerization technologies (Kubernetes , Docker)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Responsibility, consistency and organizational skills
  • Collaborative attitude with both internal and external business stakeholders
  • Eager to learn new technologies (Open sources and licenced) and work items
  • Proficient use of English language (verbal & written)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Certification in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • Familiar with private or public cloud technologies (eg.Azure)
  • Ability to create clear, comprehensive documentation
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure management automation (eg. Ansible, Nagios, Gitlab)
