Summary

ELCO Lighting, an established lighting fixture manufacturing company in Los Angeles is looking for an experienced, highly motivated detail oriented electrical or mechanical engineer to join their team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage new lines of LED lighting fixtures for residential and commercial markets
• Production quality control and inspection of manufactured fixtures
• Coordination of UL, CA Title 24, DLC and Energy Star requirements with production
• Improvement of existing product lines design
• Provide product technical support to customers
• Coordinate with engineering and product development team to develop, analyze and establish the requirements, specifications, procedures and other engineering documents necessary to obtain product listing through UL and government regulating agencies.
• Work with test labs to ensure timely approvals of product lines
• Test product samples
• Conform products to all rebate programs requirements of energy star and DLC.
  
  

Requirements Include

• Strong LED lighting knowledge
• Minimum 5 years of experience working within the lighting industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of UL, CA Title 24, DOE, DLC standards, testing requirements and procedures
• Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems in the lab as well as problems in the field
• An interest in technical and engineering activities
• Good oral and written communication skills
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team
  
  

Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour
