Vacancy


We are recruiting for a Senior Learning and Development Manager to join our HR team in Bath. You will lead the L&D function and support our high performing culture. You will develop the L&D strategy and create and embed a learning skills framework aligned to our career development framework (CDF). You will establish an L&D team and resource to deliver L&D solutions to Partners, legal and business support teams.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create and launch a learning skills framework aligned to the CDF for all levels
  • Investigate and deliver new learning solutions, bringing best practice and innovation to the firm
  • Oversee the delivery of the leadership and management development programmes to include M2, D2 and E2
  • Develop a culture of learning and coaching across the firm
  • Engage with third parties as necessary to support the delivery of learning solutions
  • To manage the firm’s apprenticeship levy and ensure it is being utilised effectively within the firm, developing a strategy for maximising the use of apprenticeships in the business
  • Manage spend within the training budget
  • To ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ensure relevant standards are maintained at all times
  • Ensure there is an effective LMS systems in place which meets the needs of the business
  • Set and measure key metrics to drive performance and productivity of L&D solutions and activity
  • Manage and mentor the L&D team members encouraging their ongoing professional development
  • To support the Director of HR with the delivery of projects as required
  • To support any other reasonable duties as requested by the Director of HR or other members of the Senior Management Team


Skills, Experience, and Attributes


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Coaching experience and qualification
  • Experience of working in law/professional services
  • Experience of designing and delivering L&D programmes
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Credible and confident in delivering programmes at a senior level
  • Collaborator with the ability to build effective relationships
