Be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimising my prestigious financial services clients IT infrastructure. You need to have a deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, networking, security, and cloud technologies as you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and scalability of the infrastructure, supporting critical banking operations.
This role will consist of a mixture of technical support, BAU, and project work set by the IT Support and Infrastructure Manager.
Due to the nature of the role supporting predominantly office-based stakeholders, and the benefit of on-the-job learning and mentoring, this is an office-based position.
The Role
Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
Lead infrastructure projects and ensure alignment with the company's technology and business strategies.
Manage Windows and Linux-based systems, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (365 & Azure)
Oversee network security, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with banking regulations.
Implement automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency (PowerShell etc).
Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring of infrastructure systems.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors
Ensure disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) strategies are in place and tested regularly.
Preferred Experience Required
Minimum three years' experience working in an IT support and a customer service-focused environment.
Professional manner with excellent communication and telephone etiquette; able to interact with all levels of seniority within the firm.
Ability to work under pressure, analytical mindset with persistence in solving challenging problems.
Experience working in a smaller corporate environment (<500 employees). Technical experience:
