Seeking a Senior Installation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join a global provider of rail solutions in Oakland, CA. Requirements: The successful candidate will have a solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. Accountabilities: * Integrating the CBTC system to create a design that can be easily constructed on site, making sure the produced installation details are compliant with the contract, the system requirements and the local electrical regulations. * Design and instruct subcontractor designer to route cables within the technical rooms and along the track system, managing filling ratio, existing pathways challenging, proposing new pathways etc.. * Manage and seek resolution of the technical Interfaces between the engineering installation works and technological Systems/subsystems; * Be the connection chain between the site personnel and the engineering team - creating synergy between the design and the field needs. * Identify the critical issues in the development of the project and propose mitigation actions; * Represent the Installation engineering team and support the design choices with the client; * Ability to use of Bluebeam and CAD software for interfaces definition and management, as part of the project delivery strategy according to the Engineering Management Plan. Qualifications: Required Skills/Knowledge: * From 5 up to 10 years' experience of Electrical Works in the Railway Engineering context especially developed in the area of construction and installation Design. Additional expertise in the railways contexts is considered as a plus. Operative competencies * Survey field locations and gather information for the existing infrastructure to complete the installation design when necessary * Identify, understand and overcome installation challenges during design development. * Size pathways and raceway, considering existing conditions and filling. * Familiarity with Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools. * Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control. * Previous experience in construction is a plus. * Demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines and are self-motivated. * Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment; Soft Skills * Ability to stay organized and maintain project records; * Team working * Co-operative approach * Mobility Mindset Software Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Education * Electrical or Civil Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background * Professional Engineer license in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Installation required Languages Written and verbal English communication skills NOTE: * The salary range for this position is $121,000 - $182,00 per year.
