Stelfox is partnering with an international BP provider who is gradually building an IT technology hub from Galway.

The company service global tier 1 enterprise clients who rely on their contact centre solutions as well as other outsourced functions for day-to-day operations via multiple delivery locations.

As an international player, the company build & run multiple datacentres and interconnected networks and general IT infrastructure that operate a 24x7x365 global contact centre solution.

For this new team in Galway, we are looking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Systems engineer to support the existing team on strategically staying ahead to de-risk the current infrastructure setup across locations as the company continues to grow.

As a Senior Systems / Infrastructure engineer, you will have:

• Deep hands-on experience across Microsoft infrastructure stack (AD, GPO, Exchange, SQL, Azure AD, Intune, Defender, etc.)
• Proficient in VMware, ideally with experience navigating recent licensing and Broadcom changes
• Solid grounding in firewalls, backup, monitoring, endpoint protection, and automation tools
• Able to audit, document, and rebuild or redesign existing infrastructure choices with minimal oversight
• Familiar with enterprise licensing and vendor integration (e.g., Fortinet, Veeam, ManageEngine, Mimecast, etc.)
• Comfortable with global environments - multi-domain, multi-tenant, hybrid cloud
• Strong communication skills and a low-politics mindset

Furthermore, you will ideally have:

• Previously held a senior systems engineer, Enterprise Infrastructure or Infrastructure architect type roles.
• Hands-on execution-focused (not just operating around presenting solutions but willing to get involved hands-on when working with the wider group).
