The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with strong expertise in React to join our growing engineering team. You’ll be responsible for designing and developing high-quality functionality for our applications. This role requires a deep understanding of front-end architecture, performance optimisation, and best practices in UI/UX. The Senior Frontend Developer will play a key role in the success of Perigord’s SaaS artwork management software, GLAMS and GLAMS Interchange, which is based on a LowCode/RPA system.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the existing team to extend current functionality and build new modules.
• Translate requirements into high-quality and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product owners to deliver robust features.
• Build reusable components also serving future applications.
• Optimise components for maximum performance.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce frontend coding standards and best practices.
• Work closely with QA to ensure product quality and resolve bugs efficiently.
• Stay up to date with the latest frontend technologies, frameworks, and trends.

Preferred Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Degree in IT, Software Development or other relevant field or relevant industry experience.
• 5+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 3+ years in React.js.
• Strong knowledge of React ecosystem: Hooks, Context API, React Router, Redux (or other state management tools).
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern frontend tooling: Webpack, Babel, Vite, ESLint, Prettier.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.
• Deep understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimisation.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Version control with Git and collaborative development via platforms like Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with Pull Requests and efficient code review workflows
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices, preferably past experience in Jenkins.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with low-code platforms is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to make design and architectural decisions.
• Self-starter with a proactive attitude towards learning and improvement.
• Proactive mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability.
