Barden is proud to partner with a leading tech company in their search for a Senior Software Engineer for their Dublin-based team.

This is a contract role running until the end of the year (around 7-8 months), with the possibility of extension.

You'll be working in a fast-paced product engineering environment, with a focus on frontend development within a full-stack role. ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll be focused on:

• Leading the frontend design and development of a customer-facing web application
• Writing full-stack code as needed, including backend development in PHP and Java
• Prototyping, optimising, and launching new product features
• Running A/B experiments to drive data-informed decisions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across design, product, and engineering
• Identifying opportunities to reduce tech debt and improve overall system performance

ABOUT THE PERSON:

• 10+ years of experience in Software Development
• Extensive experience building frontend applications using JavaScript, React, CSS, and related frameworks (e.g., Storybook)
• A strong full-stack foundation, including backend work in PHP or Java
• A user- and product-focused mindset, with a data-driven approach to development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially within distributed teams
• A track record of successfully leading projects and mentoring other engineers
• A pragmatic, proactive approach to technical challenges, with a focus on clean, maintainable solutions
