Senior Software Test Engineer – High-Tech Embedded Systems

An innovative and fast-growing tech company in Eindhoven is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join one of their high-impact internal projects. With a strong track record in delivering cutting-edge solutions in the high-tech sector, the company is expanding its capabilities and forming a new farm-out team, with consultancy opportunities available after your first year.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a hands-on role in advancing test automation for complex embedded systems—while also mentoring others and shaping technical direction.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks in C++, C, and Python for complex, embedded high-tech systems
• Driving the transition from manual testing to scalable, maintainable test automation
• Exploring and evaluating different solutions, and optimising chosen approaches
• Collaborating within a multidisciplinary Agile team, both internally and with external stakeholders
• Reviewing code, mentoring junior team members, and promoting best practices
• Acting as a technical advisor and sparring partner for stakeholders and clients

What you bring:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or similar
• 8+ years of professional experience in high-tech domains (e.g. medical, automotive, or industrial embedded systems)
• Strong skills in Python, C, and C++ development
• Proven experience in automated testing for embedded systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and preferably experience with tools like ROBOT Framework
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and excellent communication skills in English
• EU citizenship or a valid EU Blue Card (relocation support is provided within the EU)

Please note: This role is not suitable for candidates with a background primarily in banking or web development.
