Senior Electrical Design Engineer – France

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a world-leading major global contractor, working on significant infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a highly competent Senior Electrical Design Engineer with experience in Civil Infrastructure Projects, to join them at their head office in Paris, France.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Being involved in the design and cost evaluation of high-tech electromechanical systems used in large-scale infrastructure projects such as road/rail tunnels, stations, toll plazas, and underground structures
• Leading the design, specification, and costing of electro-mechanical systems including: mechanical and plumbing (ventilation, HVAC, fixed fire suppression systems), HV and LV electrical systems, lighting and low-current systems, vehicle traffic management/SCADA of motorway tunnels, communication systems, CCTV, incident detection systems, etc.
• Collaborating with the internal bid teams and external suppliers/subcontractors
• Participating in the selection of technical solutions and design methodologies
• Supporting the transition from design to construction phase, including testing and final client handover
• Staying up to date on cutting-edge E&M technologies and innovations

PROFILE

• At least 10-15 years’ experience in the design of complex electrical or MEP systems on civil infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of tunnel systems, SCADA, power distribution, lighting, and safety systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with any additional digital modelling tools an advantage
• Highly skilled in MS Office, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Fluent in English, with at least a working knowledge level of French
