Job Summary

The Business Applications Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management, implementation, integration, and optimisation of enterprise business applications to support business processes across Finance, Procurement, HR, Treasury, and Sales. The role requires a strong understanding of ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, Salesforce, etc.), middleware integration (Oracle Integration Cloud), analytics (Power BI, Anaplan), and cloud-based applications.

This individual will play a key role in aligning business application strategies with organisational goals, ensuring seamless system interoperability, driving automation, and supporting business users with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Business Applications Strategy & Management
  • Define and implement the roadmap for business applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the architecture, integration, and optimisation of the business applications ecosystem, as depicted in the proposed architecture.
  • Ensure all applications (ERP, Procurement, Finance, Treasury, HR, etc.) work together efficiently to enhance business operations.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance system capabilities.
  • ERP & Enterprise Systems Management
  • Manage the implementation and optimisation of ERP Oracle Fusion and related modules (Finance, Procurement, HR, Treasury).
  • Support Salesforce CRM for sales and contract management workflows.
  • Oversee Oracle Integration Cloud (Middleware) to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and governance in Master Data Layer (Customer Master, Employee Master, Supplier Master, Project Master).
  • Procurement, Finance & HR System Oversight
  • Manage and optimise Procurement Cloud (Supplier Portal, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, etc.).
  • Oversee Payables & Receivables Cloud for streamlined financial transactions.
  • Support Financials Cloud for General Ledger, Intercompany, Tax, and Period Close processes.
  • Work closely with HR to maintain and enhance Darwinbox HCM for Employee Database, Payroll, and T&E.
  • Integration & Middleware Management
  • Ensure Oracle Integration Cloud effectively connects various applications.
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to enhance system integration.
  • Optimise reporting and analytics layers (Power BI, SmartView, BI Publisher, OTBI) to provide insights into business performance.
  • Reporting, Forecasting & Compliance
  • Implement and oversee financial and statutory reporting processes using Oracle EPM and Anaplan.
  • Ensure tax compliance via Digi GST and Digi TDS applications.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and allocation processes using Anaplan.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and external partners for system enhancements and support.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver application upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Provide training and support to business users on application functionalities.

Key Competencies

  • Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in business applications management, ERP implementation, or IT systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, or similar), Salesforce CRM, and Finance/HR applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (Middleware) and Data Management.
  • Experience in implementing Power BI, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, or similar analytics tools.

Technical Skills:

  • ERP & Cloud Applications: Deep expertise in Oracle ERP (Fusion) or similar platforms.
  • Middleware & Integration: Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, API management, and data synchronisation.
  • Data & Reporting: Familiarity with Power BI, BI Publisher, OTBI, SmartView, and data governance principles.
  • Finance & Treasury Systems: Experience managing financial applications (Payables, Receivables, Treasury, Tax Compliance).
  • HR & Payroll Systems: Understanding of HCM systems like Darwinbox, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse business needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and training skills to support non-technical users.
