We are seeking a Senior DBA & Cloud Migration Engineer to support and optimize our enterprise-level Oracle and SQL Server databases.
In this role, you will manage and maintain high-performance, secure, and available Oracle and SQL Server databases within our enterprise environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to database configuration and optimization while collaborating with development teams. Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases
Manage software installation, upgrades, and patching for database platforms
Monitor and optimize database performance for SQL Server and Oracle
Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure smooth database operations
Implement high availability solutions such as Oracle RAC and SQL Server Always On
Manage database replication, backups, and disaster recovery plans
Ensure compliance with audit and security standards for database environments
Develop automation scripts for routine database tasks
Utilize tools like SQL Developer, OEM/Grid, Foglight, and OCI Console for monitoring
Collaborate with development teams to align database configurations with business needs
Maintain accurate documentation for database management processes
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, including Oracle 19c, Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard
3+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Databases
Understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Ability to implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions
Familiarity with database tools such as SQL Developer, OEM/Grid, and Foglight
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to business stakeholders
Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team, with on-call availability
Proficiency in English
Nice to have
Experience with MongoDB
Knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance
Familiarity with Qlik and Kafka
Experience with Informatica and Databricks
Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident management
