* This position is based out of our Westlake, OH office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule after the training period. JOB OVERVIEW The Senior Data Analytics Engineer collects, organizes, analyzes, and delivers data related to business operations, sales, customer service, strategic initiatives, and Equity Trust products. The Senior Data Analytics Engineer will architect, develop, and maintain platforms and data pipelines to support companywide reporting and analytics, including dashboards, KPI reporting, and other ad-hoc reports as requested. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES * Architects, builds, and maintains the systems and platforms to support our data lake, and to enable consumption and responsible use of data by citizen analysts * Engineers ETL and ELT workflows to acquire and publish data to subscribing applications * Documents data standards, procedures, and data field definitions * Builds analytical tools to provide actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition * Collects and delivers data related to operational and customer service use cases and develops ETL pipelines to support detailed reports and dashboards * Interprets data, draws conclusions, and effectively communicates findings and actionable insights * Researches current and emerging technologies to help ensure that Equity Trust continues to innovate cutting-edge products * Analyzes trends within large datasets to help management make data-driven decisions * Collects and analyzes data related to customer behaviors to enrich customer segmentation and our understanding of client needs * Measures and analyzes operational processes to identify efficiencies and areas of opportunities * Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics or related field preferred * Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience; college internships may qualify * Banking and financial services experience a plus PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS * None required TECHNICAL SKILLS To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following: * Ability to compile large amounts of data and synthesize it into actionable information * Strong knowledge of one or more common, modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or Go * Strong knowledge of SQL * Familiarity with cloud service providers (such as AWS) and their managed service offerings * Familiarity with common infrastructure-as-code toolchains (such as AWS CDK) * Familiarity working in a primarily UNIX-like development environment * Experience working directly with product stakeholders to understand, and designing technical implementations that effectively address, business needs CULTURAL COMPETENCIES In addition to our core company competencies of Cultivates Innovation, Nimble Learning, Action Oriented, Collaborates, and Being Resilient, a successful candidate in this role should exhibit the following behavioral competencies: * Business Insight * Collaborates * Resourcefulness * Nimble Learning PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
