Summary

* This position is based out of our Westlake, OH office and is eligible for a hybrid schedule after the probationary period. JOB OVERVIEW The Manager, Strategy & Data Analytics creates informational and actionable reporting on Operations, Sales, Product, and Strategy, and collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to implement changes for optimization. The Manager will develop and maintain reports, including, dashboards, KPI reporting, and other ad-hoc reports as requested. Responsible for providing analytics and insights regarding the strategic plan that will provide guidance, recommendations, and will aide in decision-making. As part of the Product Management and Client Insight team, the Manager will conduct market research and report on overall trends within the financial industry (both competitor and non-competitor) to ensure that Equity Trust is in position to develop products and services that ensure we are exceeding customer expectations and maintaining a competitive advantage. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES * Manages the Strategy and Data Analytics team and works with associates to deliver continuously evolving research that identifies customers, behavior trends, and various other data points * Creates and delivers robust dashboards and reports detailing Operational and Customer Service data to executive management * Interprets large, complex datasets, effectively draws conclusions, and communicates findings, concerns, recommendations, and actionable insight via data visualization and complex storytelling techniques * Delivers thought-provoking presentations to senior leadership to help drive strategic decision-making * Evaluates new opportunities by researching and mapping industry trends, value chain dynamics, technology landscapes, and understanding the differentiated value * Provides data analytics and actionable recommendations for company-wide strategic initiatives, such as, but not limited to, our Modern Digital Business transformation * Develops and maintains data models, reporting systems, dashboards, and KPIs that support key strategic decisions * Gathers information on competitors and maintains repositories of competitor products, fee schedules, and other data related to competitor operations, offerings, and products * Conducts market research on mergers and acquisition targets to help Executive decision making * Researches current trends and future projections within the financial industry to help ensure that Equity Trust continues to innovate cutting-edge products * Assists with financial analysis of product development, sales opportunities, capital investments to determine ROI, feasibility of investments and KPIs * Supports the Product team with current initiatives and ad-hoc projects * Coaches, mentors, and develops direct reports and team members, oversees new associate onboarding, and provides career development planning and opportunities/pathways * Maintains transparent communication with direct reports and team members, through one-on-one meetings and regular interpersonal communication * Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Business Management, or related field preferred * Minimum 5 years of analyst experience * Banking and financial services experience preferred PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS * None Required TECHNICAL SKILLS * Advanced Power BI proficiency * 2 Years SQL experience required * Ability to compile large amounts of data and synthesize it into actionable information * Advanced level proficiency in Excel CULTURAL COMPETENCIES In addition to our core company competencies of Cultivates Innovation, Nimble Learning, Action Oriented, Collaborates, and Being Resilient, a successful candidate in this role should exhibit the following behavioral competencies: * Business Insight * Plans & Aligns * Communicates Effectively * Courage PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
