Senior Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer

Position Description

As Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technical solutions for our digital marketplace. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet both business and user needs. What You’ll Do (Tasks & Responsibilities)

• Drive structured requirements engineering practices to ensure all business needs are captured, analyzed, and documented clearly and consistently
• Define and standardize documentation practices to maintain up-to-date, well-structured specifications, decision logs, and change requests
• Establish a systematic approach for tracking and updating requirements throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure completeness and traceability
• Liaise between stakeholders and users to identify business problems or objectives, and translate them into clear technical requirements
• Challenge vague or incomplete inputs and validate business value before implementation
• Collaborate closely with the product owners, product team, architects and currently two engineering teams to bridge business needs and technical delivery - without owning product decisions or backlog prioritization
• Gather input for decision-making and stakeholder alignment
• Continuously work on ways to improve and document business processes

What You Bring (Qualifications and Professional Competencies)

• Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in information technology, business administration, computer science, or relevant discipline.
• 5+ years of professional hands-on experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, data analysis, or related field, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Working knowledge of agile principles (SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban, ...)
• Proven ability to enforce process, maintain documentation discipline, and drive structured backlog management
• Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail to capture and translate complex business needs into clear and concise requirements
• Confident in pushing deadlines, ensuring accountability, and maintaining structured workflows
• Additional plus
• Training in requirements engineering (e.g. IREB, CBAP, CCBA, CPRE, ...)
• Familiarity with launching or scaling e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Understanding of the aviation industry, aerospace (MRO) business or related fields
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
