We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join a medium-sized organisation within the health industry, acting as the key liaison between the business and external vendors. This role is critical in ensuring business requirements are effectively captured, analyzed, and translated into successful ERP solutions, with a specific focus on financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems—ideally some Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)—and strong experience working directly with finance teams to improve workflows and system capabilities.


Rate: $800-$900 per day


Location: Melbourne 3 days onsite hybrid WFH


Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the business in all phases of the ERP implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to testing and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to identify current-state processes and define future-state needs within the ERP platform.
  • Work closely with external vendors and implementation partners to ensure solutions align with business objectives.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and work with technical teams to ensure delivery.
  • Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes to business processes and systems.
  • Lead workshops, document user stories and process flows, and assist in configuration and testing of the ERP solution.
  • Support change management and training efforts by contributing to documentation and knowledge transfer.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst with some experience across ERP projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working with financial ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. (please note it's the Finance and ERP knowledge we are after that's transferrable across all other products SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or other)
  • Strong understanding of core finance functions (e.g., general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, budgeting, reporting).
  • Excellent communications both verbally and written.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build strong relationships across business units and third-party vendors.
  • Experience in business process modeling, requirements documentation, and solution validation.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and Agile or hybrid methodologies.
