What we're looking for:

We are seeking a talented, endlessly curious individual to join our team. You’ll be working closely with one of our portfolio companies in the fintech sector as part of the Engineering department. This company is in it’s stealth phase of building an open-banking project targeting the SEA Finance industry (think Plaid). Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Department Lead to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs using TypeScript and Node.js to enable secure access to financial data from banks and financial institutions
• Develop and optimize data aggregation solutions to retrieve, normalize, and aggregate financial data efficiently across multiple sources.
• Implement data transformation and parsing logic to ensure consistent and accurate data formatting for end-user applications
• Ensure applications meet OWASP standards, and work with security teams to perform regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in web development, with proficiency in both frontend and backend capabilities.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript, including in-depth knowledge of ES6+ features and TypeScript’s static typing system.
• Proven experience in building mid- to large-scale applications, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and with high quality.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue, and familiarity with component-based architecture.
• Backend development experience with Node.js and understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
• Effective communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding across all audiences.
• Experience with test automation and testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing using tools like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Passion for advancing technology and keeping up with TypeScript, JavaScript, and web development trends.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a history of analyzing complex technical challenges and delivering innovative solutions.
• Security-conscious mindset, with knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Strong leadership abilities, with experience in team management, mentoring junior developers, and providing technical guidance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for creating thorough documentation that aids collaboration and onboarding.
