We are seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in database migration to join our growing cloud team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based infrastructure solutions, with a focus on migrating on-premises or legacy databases to the cloud efficiently and securely

Key Responsibilities:·      

• Design and deploy scalable, secure, and resilient Azure infrastructure solutions.·     
• Lead end-to-end database migration projects (on-prem to Azure SQL, Azure Managed Instances, or other data services).·      
• Collaborate with application and DB teams to assess, plan, and execute database migration strategies.·      
• Configure Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, VNet, NSG, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Storage, etc.·     
• Optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud-hosted databases and infrastructure.·     
• Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and database migration issues.·      
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.·     
• Ensure compliance with best practices in cloud governance, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery.·      
• Document architecture diagrams, migration plans, and SOPs

Required Skills and Experience:·     

•  5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering with at least 4+ years in Microsoft Azure.·      
• Strong hands-on experience in database migration projects (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL to Azure).·     
• Experience with Azure Database Migration Service (DMS) and other related tools.·      
• Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), and security best practices.·      
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting for automation.·      
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.·      
• Experience in performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies for cloud databases.·      
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.·      
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:·      

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Azure Solutions Architect / Azure Database Administrator.·      
• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.·      
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
