Summary

A global Architecture & Engineering firm with an outstanding reputation in many project markets, is searching for a Senior Project Manager to work with them on Business Development, Market Strategy, Client Service, and top level Project Delivery. This firm is invested in Federal, Industrial, and Transportation projects and have goals to expand into new markets when the opportunity presents. The ideal person for this role will bring a strong communication style, proven track record winning projects in the Architectural marketplace, and can work collabortively with business leaders to grow their footprint in the industry. Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Determine project scope, timelines, budgets, and goals. Draft detailed work plans and secure stakeholder approval. Identify risks and devise mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with company policies and project management standards.

  • Cost Management: Oversee project finances to ensure profitability. Track and communicate residual risks. Manage client billing and payments, and approve subcontractor/vendor invoices.

  • Project Monitoring: Continuously review project status, identify and mitigate risks, and manage changes. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to adjust project requirements and schedules. Ensure safety plans are reviewed and implemented. Respond promptly to audit findings.

  • Resource Management: Develop and implement resource plans. Coordinate staffing and procurement processes. Communicate project deadlines and objectives clearly. Assign tasks, provide direction, and coach project staff. Address performance issues as needed.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships. Deliver quality, on-time project outcomes. Manage client expectations and identify opportunities for additional work. Collaborate with sales to evaluate new projects and support scoping and costing efforts.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the Architecture, Design, or Construction fields
  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree; Professional Bachelor or Master of Architecture preferred
  • PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBI certification is preferred either on Day 1 or within first 12 months of hire
  • Architectural Registration and NCARB Certificate preferred
  • Project experience in Transit/Transportation, Industrial and Manufacturing, Federal, or Institutional markets
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as Revit/AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.
  • Ability to travel at least 10-15% of time
