About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Communications Consultant to support our team during a high-volume period. This 3-month contract role is ideal for a self-starter with strong PR, media relations, and content development experience. You’ll work across a portfolio of clients to deliver integrated communications campaigns, media outreach, and high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as day-to-day contact for assigned client accounts across sectors (e.g. tech, B2B, consumer, lifestyle)
• Develop and execute media relations strategies, securing impactful coverage in key titles
• Draft press releases, op-eds, briefing materials, Q&As, and social media copy
• Support in the planning and delivery of events, launches, and media activations
• Monitor media, prepare reports, and track KPIs and campaign success metrics
• Liaise with journalists, influencers, and third-party stakeholders
• Provide crisis comms support or reactive statements as needed
• Collaborate with design and digital teams on integrated deliverables

Requirements:

• 8+ years’ experience in PR/communications, ideally within agency settings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong network of media contacts in [region/industry, e.g., UK tech press, GCC lifestyle media]
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple priorities
• Experience in creating strategic comms plans and high-quality content
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and reporting platforms (e.g. Meltwater, Cision)

Preferred Skills:

• Sector experience in [e.g., fintech, hospitality, sustainability, government, etc.]
• Crisis communications or reputation management experience
• Experience managing junior team members or freelancers
• Ability to quickly integrate into agency workflows and client expectations
