The Security Project Manager is responsible for leading high-profile and business critical projects involving physical security systems implementation, testing, commissioning and acceptance for worldwide critical infrastructure including datacenters, leased collocations, and other types of facilities. This position is responsible for working directly with numerous internal and external teams, including architects, engineers, numerous security vendors, construction / project managers, and customers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services across a wide array of stakeholders and priorities. The Security Project Manager must be an experienced team player, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, have the ability to determine the appropriate security systems solutions, and manage a demanding workload in the execution of multiple concurrent projects across geographic and organizational boundaries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Responsible for implementing the design and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, burglary, radio systems and all other types of physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives.
2. Review, edit, improve physical security designs and scopes of work for security system and project work to ensure compliance and standardization to established baselines, cost and schedule efficiency, and policy.
3. Compile metric reports and tracking to ensure project delivery is measurable and relevant reports are generated for analysis.
4. Partner and collaborate closely with peer leaders and stakeholders, focused on maintaining a collaborative team environment.
5. Continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program.
6. Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business impacting incidents/events and appropriately triage, ensuring that leadership is made initially and continuously aware when appropriate and that the appropriate personnel are managing the incident response effectively.
7. Collaborate with peer teams and organizations to ensure their team is aligned with broader strategy and initiatives, fully supporting leadership priorities, being good partners, helping reduce costs, time burden, and complexity, and being responsive trusted advisors.
8. Continuously seek data and recommend strategies and ideas to reduce churn, optimize, implement a creative solution to a problem, scale, automate, and simplify.
9. Deliver assigned projects in accordance with established requirements, deadlines, and applicable employment law and company policy.
10. Engage with internal and external customers as appropriate to evangelize and represent the client’s datacenter physical security programs.
11. Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and always protect all sensitive client information.

Minimum Hiring Standards

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
• Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
• Must have the legal right to work in the country the position is based out of.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Have a current passport or be able to obtain one.
• Able to travel (international or domestic, as required) approximately 25% of the time, occasionally with limited notice.
• Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency or high-priority event

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business, security, engineering discipline or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of site/construction management experience in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in managing the deployment of physical security systems, security engineering solutions and designs, as well as supporting implementation throughout construction project lifecycles.
• Direct experience in the engineering, design and/or installation of enterprise security systems in datacenters or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
• Proficient-level skill using Microsoft Office Suite.
• PSP, CPP, PMP, or CSPM certifications are highly desirable.
