Job Summary:

The Practice Manager for the Security team is responsible for:

  • Inspiring, leading, managing, and accountability for the Security Practice
  • Practice innovation and vision
  • Practice vendor relationship management
  • Practice customer experience results
  • Practice productivity and profitability


Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:

Leadership, Process Development, and Implementation: 100% of the Job

  • Mentors the team to drive focus on customer satisfaction and business goals
  • Develops policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure processes are executed across all services
  • Problem-solves higher level customer obstacles and opportunities to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Operates cross-functionally between other Practice Managers to drive best practice solutions and solid decision-making
  • Develops quarterly and annual goals for the team to ensure business goals are met or exceeded
  • Monitors internal technology systems to assure alignment with best practices
  • Analyzes data and recommends adjustments to the department budget to optimize expenses and increase profitability
  • Facilitates onsite customer visits to support the Sales team and/or handle escalated customer matters, as needed

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in Security technologies and people management.

Certification(s): Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security or Cisco Certified Interworking Expert (CCIE) preferred.

Functional Skills: Excellent skill set in planning, prioritizing, organizing, soft skills and customer excellence. Thorough understanding of Cisco Networking and practical applications to support the company goals. Excellent management, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Technology Aptitude/Skills: Excellent Office 365 skills and familiar with customer consulting, ConnectWise and implementation methodologies. In-depth understanding of Cisco’s Security offering, the supporting technologies, and ability perform services including design, implementation, support, and troubleshooting.

Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong ability to mentor/educate with excellent skill to explain financial data to help the team make solid business decisions.

Leadership/Behaviors: Strong leadership, supportive, able to work independently and make an impact for the business. Collaborative, with an excellent ability to ask solid questions, provide guidance, options, or solutions to help move the business goals forward. Strong internal and external customer focus and compliance orientation are also important for this role.

Equipment Used:

  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, electronic devices, photocopiers, filing systems/cabinets and fax machines


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at desk for 7+ hours per day
  • Ability to use hands and fingers and to reach for and handle objects to perform tasks frequently
  • Ability to articulate ideas/information in a logical flow for 5+ hours per day
  • Ability to read and respond on an on-going basis daily due to nature of the work
  • Ability to talk and communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer on-going
  • Ability to listen to customers, problem-solve, and respond accordingly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, push, pull and carry items frequently
  • Lifting up to 15 lbs. sporadically


Environmental Conditions & Travel:

  • The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise
  • This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 15% travel is required (between offices)
