RED has a new Scala Developer opportunity available with one of our key partners. This is an initial 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension, offering full remote work from within Poland.

You’ll join a mixed team working on a high-traffic system with over 12 million monthly page views. The project involves transitioning parts of a legacy application into a modern microservices architecture, focusing on high performance and scalability.

Key requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience with Scala (Java and functional programming experience also valuable)
• Experience with Akka, Axon, Event Sourcing, or CQRS
• Solid understanding of OOP/FP principles and software engineering best practices
• Ability to design, build, and deploy distributed services in a DevOps environment

• Start date: Ideally by end of June
• Methodology: Agile/Scrum
• Languages required: Polish, English
• Workload: Full-time, no on-call or overtime expected
