Introduction
As an SAP DevOps Engineer to drive the automation and efficiency of our SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP technologies, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
Your Role And Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for SAP applications.
- Automate SAP system administration tasks using scripting languages and automation tools.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to streamline deployment processes.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for SAP environments.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP deployments and infrastructure.
- Stay updated on SAP DevOps best practices and emerging technologies.
- Continuously develop and mature our automation landscape (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, K8S, Python, CICD Pipelines ) to help to reduce manual efforts across the full S/4HANA stack and application lifecycle in Dev and Ops
- Work in an Agile Scrum team
- Participate in DevOps projects
- Help simplify our processes
- Develop automation solutions so that we can scale with software
- Familiar in working in an Agile project layout defined in Github
- Evaluate and implement AI use cases in the context of a delivery organization
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Strong knowledge of SAP Basis administration and landscape management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) and SAP Cloud ALM is a plus.
Lead the development, maintenance, and improvement of our continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline using cloud services and automation tools.
Use Terraform for advanced cloud resource provisioning and management.
Implement automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring.
