Salesforce Technical Architect

Onsite 5 days a week in Midtown

Circa $180k base salary


The Salesforce Technical Architect is responsible for defining and building the Salesforce platform’s architecture to meet business needs within the financial services sector. This role involves analyzing complex technical challenges and converting them into scalable, actionable solutions. The architect will lead development efforts, including custom applications, third-party integrations, and data solutions, while ensuring alignment with development best practices and platform standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and customize Salesforce solutions using technologies such as Apex, Lightning Components (LWC/Aura), Visualforce, AngularJS, React, and AJAX.
  • Facilitate technical design workshops and produce clear, detailed design documentation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Establish and enforce development standards and integration best practices across the team.
  • Align development efforts with project goals, managing scope and technical expectations.
  • Create and implement seamless integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Offer hands-on support and guidance to developers facing complex technical issues.
  • Review code and architectural decisions to ensure quality and consistency across projects.
  • Translate system requirements into well-structured development tasks and plans.
  • Recommend tools and technologies to enhance integration and platform performance.


Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of core Salesforce functionality, including Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs, and SOQL.
  • Quick to learn new technologies, particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem and related platforms such as JavaScript libraries and data integration tools.
  • Experience in building or supporting mobile solutions (native, hybrid, or responsive).
  • Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Background in data migration projects involving external systems and Salesforce.
  • Practical experience in integrating third-party tools and platforms with Salesforce.
  • Strong familiarity with B2B, B2C, and hybrid business environments.
  • Proficient in working with REST and SOAP-based web services.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive and organized approach.
  • Able to balance multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience working with Salesforce in an administrative or consulting capacity.
